The Community Shop

The Community Shop is located in the Community Hub at 4 Fore Street.

Here, you'll always find a friendly face to greet you & a vast selection of wonderful gifts and goodies, handmade by over 25 local artisans. There's also a selection of Saltash themed items as well as eco-friendly plastic-alternative products.

Shortlisted in the Good Retail awards 2019 as one of the top 5 Community shops in the country, we are very proud of our little shop.

Community Enterprises CEPL12 Community Shop - Selling local produce

The Community Shop first opened it’s doors over in 2013, giving visitors and residents of Saltash an opportunity to purchase unique, quality gifts and goodies - all of which are hand-made locally. We are proud to support over 25 local artisans in selling their creations, as well as the additional benefit of keeping air miles and our carbon footprint to a minimum.

All the profits from the shop are put towards supporting our other community enterprises, so if you buy an item from the shop, you are also helping to support the Community Fridge, Digital Inclusion, Dementia Voice or Community Kitchen.

The shop is open from Monday - Friday 9:30am - 2:30pm and Saturday 10am - 12 noon, and sells Saltash themed gifts, locally designed and made cushions, bags, children's clothing, jewellery, notebooks, soaps, driftwood pictures, lampshades, cards and much more. We're also proud to stock a number of eco-friendly products including stainless steel straws, bamboo goods, wooden toothbrushes, re-useable makeup pads and beeswax wraps.

We also stock a number of charitable items on behalf of local organisations Saltash Environmental Action and the Royal British Legion.

If you're interested in becoming one of our local artisans, please feel free to send us an email

Artisan Markets

Usually held on the first and third Friday of the month, the Artisan Markets provide regular opportunities to buy a lovingly, locally made product.

You can expect to find freshly baked cakes and savouries, locally-grown flowers, fruit & veg (the Tamar Valley strawberries in-season can’t be beaten!), locally-reared meat, honey, beeswax products, and an array of craft items.

Please check our events page, as sometimes market dates may vary.

Become a Volunteer

The Community Shop is manned by volunteers, and provides a rewarding opportunity to help the community, gain employment skills or fulfil the volunteering role for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

If you can spare a few hours a month, we’d love to hear from you.
